Robespierre Simões, the stage name Pierre Simões, is a pianist and composer. Born in Divinópolis, MG, he began his musical studies in the Band of the Military College of Belo Horizonte, from 1972 to 1978, playing requinta and tuba. During this period he participated in several high school music festivals, having obtained a third place in 1977. In 1979 he entered the University of Brasilia.
